Gas work is carried out only by Gas Safe registered engineers and notifiable electrical work only by registered competent persons. Structural work is designed by qualified engineers and approved by building control before anyone starts, and the CDM 2015 regulations are observed on projects they apply to. Do you quote from photographs?
No. Every job gets a site visit, because the cost is usually determined by what's behind the surface and nobody can price that from a picture.
Who does the gas and electrical work?
Gas Safe registered engineers and registered competent persons for notifiable electrical work. Certificates are provided at handover.
Do you handle building control?
Yes, where the Building Regulations apply. Structural works are designed by a qualified engineer and approved before construction starts.
What happens if you find something unexpected?
We stop, explain what was found, and price the variation before carrying it out. Nothing extra appears on an invoice without written agreement.
Are you insured?
Yes — details are available on request before works begin, and we'd encourage asking any contractor the same question.
Can you guarantee the finish date?
We give a realistic programme and keep to it where it's within our control. Access, weather, approvals and conditions found on site can all move dates, and we'd rather say so than promise otherwise.
